White Altura Fan from Hampton Bay
I just bought a new ceiling fan because my previous fan was broken and could not be repaired. My new fan is Hampton Bay Altura 68-inch. I found this fan from long search via the Internet. I visited many online stores wishing for finding a fan which was both good looking and affordable. Finally, I decided to buy Hampton Bay from online store. Actually, I looked for a ceiling fan with light. As the fan I bought didn’t have a light, I purchased a light separately to be attached to the fan.
There are some reasons why I ended up buying the fan. For me, a ceiling fan is a part of home decor so it should be good looking. I love the Hampton Bay Altura because the fan is beautiful. The beauty can be seen from the color of the blades with a cool ‘oil rubbed’ look. In addition, the blades which are made of real wood show their natural beauty. The brushed nickel finish and bronze color makes the Altura ceiling fan more stylish. It is perfect for my modern living room. Overall, the look is very nice.

The second reason why I fall for the Altura is its cheap price. It was only $199. I thought it was discounted as I saw in the catalogue that it was about $260. The price has included the remote control so I did not need to purchase the remote control separately. Unfortunately, as I had no light, I should buy the light attachment. Lucky me, I could find the light attachment in the Hampton Bay catalogue in cheap price too. It was about $50 and it had a nice looking. The light is very bright as the light comes from a frosted white glass. There are two 60 watt bulbs that can be handled by the glass. Both bulbs are energy-efficient bulbs.
Hampton Bay is available in many sizes. Because my living room is quite large, I need a large fan too. It is 68 inches. Due to its big size, I find that the installation is quite complicated. If you are interested to buy this fan, my advice is to read the multiple instructions carefully that are packed separately. Besides, you also need to install the light attachment and the remote control as well. The other good thing about the Hampton Bay Altura is its friendly noise meaning that it is very quite although the size is big. In general, I am satisfied with it.
